Picture yourself floating along a clear sparkling river in early spring. You
paddle under a canopy of moss covered cypress and past white sand beaches.
As you follow the serpentine course of the river your gaze lingers on the
islands and oxbows that offer refugee and sanctuary along the river.
The Georgia River Explorer Series is a set of three paddle trips on some of
Georgia's most scenic rivers. The series begins with a trip on the Ohoopee
on March 31st, followed by trips on the Etowah on April 14th and the
Chestatee on April 28th. All of the rivers are day trips.
Each river has been selected to provide a unique look at the rivers across
the state. The best way to protect these natural resources is to use them
responsibly. After paddling each of these rivers you will return to paddle
them again and again.
Total cost for the series is $100 per person to benefit the River Access
Fund of the Georgia Canoeing Association. This includes all three guided
trips and shuttle..

Fighting the national weather service all of last week I am happy to report we won! Trip two went off with another beautiful day with warm weather and great conditions. The third group even got a refreshing quick shower on their last mile of the run. We want to thank all of you that came out and made the run with us. We had fun and I hope all of you did as well.
